Project 'Slomega'

Primed up the bare metal, and we moved the car back in the garage, where Brandon & Shelly tackled the front-end while I hacked and grinded to clean up the back of the car.

Cleaned up the back of the car where the quarter will be welded too, altho we'll probably make up a patch piece for the tailpiece. Not sure if the lip area at the bottom will need one or not yet.

Brandon's taking care of the front end work the car needs. Replacing both tie rods ends, as well as the idler arm. Shelly is also assisting Brandon with that work.

Having some difficulties with getting the old tie rods ends apart, Glenn gives Brandon & Shelly some advise on ways of freeing up the ends.

The tail end of the rear is all cleaned up, and a patch piece is in need at the back. As well, I start on removing the outer wheel well, where our ugly looking metal is crumbling to pieces, the more I work with it.

Dave: WHAZZUP !!, Shelly and HEY!!, Kyle showed up to play!!

Who the hell is tagging my car now .... oh!, it's Kyle! and I see my track-time in the 1/4 mile is 24.5 ... minutes! ...

So out of that rotten quarter, this seems to be the only good useable metal I have to make patch pieces out of. My first patch piece will be for the door jam. OH! LOOK!, I broke a nail ... damnit!

We'll start with covering up the quarter glass so that we would pit it all to hell as we did on the drivers side. Get the door jam patch all ready, cleaned up and ready to weld in. I don't think I'll need the top piece as it seems very solid. We tested that by hitting it with a hammer and screwdrivers to see if we'd go thru.
