Project 'Slomega'

Clean the quarter up too, and have to remember to patch the marker light hole. HEY!, why is there such a ridge of body filler here, I looked from the inside and I can't see the car ever being hit there or something ... WEIRD!

Ready, Set ... WELD!!

Some of my worst/ugly welds I've ever done, it just didn't seem to be welding right, but that didn't stop me. Turned out I was out of gas. So I stopped to do a little grinding as well as make up the patch for the marker light.

I'm at the point now where I'm getting a little anxious and frustrated that Slomega is STILL not on the road, and it's nice enough now for the Nova to be out. I have to wait a few days yet for parts before I can get the Nova running, but I know I need to get Slomega done first, and get it out of Glenn's garage. ARG!, I can't turn back now, must keep going ...

Welding of the quarter continues, along with the marker light patch piece.

Started to weld the inner fender lip to the outside quarter lip as Shelly starts grinding down the welds.

Pics of the other side of the fender, checking out the welds and the grinding continues ...

Made a relief cut at the back so it would fit better, hammered her into piece and welded it in. After I was finished, I got out the grinder to see what kind of mess I could make.

Got the marker light patch done, altho it didn't turn out as well as I wanted. First the piece moved and so I tried to hammer it back into place, as well there are some waves which I can see. Not happy ...
Shelly is slowly making her way down the car ...
