On my way to Duals, taking the back roads ... I run by a Police Speed trap. Lucky there was a big hydro truck driving in the outside lane beside me. I stay along side using that truck as cover to drive by with open headers - MY LUCK!

Get to Duals, had to wait abit, but I'm not worried. They get the car inside and set up on the hoist.

Picked up some collectors at a Swap Meet the previous weekend.

Cuts are made to the pipes where needed.

Collectors are stretched to fit the pipes. Didn't take much to do the drivers side.

Passenger side was a little tricky, and Glenn came in to assist the tech. Ended up cutting the pipe back abit and then made a sleeve with the end of the collector.

Glenn makes exhaust work look easy, and the tech welds it up. Then a primer is applied to help keep the welds from rusting.

Exhaust work is all done, and Glenn takes a moment to weld up my subframe connector to the front subframe.

All done!! Thank you VERY MUCH to Duals, Glenn Scott for squeaking me in, and getting me fixed up!! THANK YOU !!

Now that everything is more or less done, I still have a few upgrades left to do. I purchased a Holley 650 DP and a new MSD StreetFire distributor & MSD Wire Set.

Given how important the cam breakin process is, I decided to run the old carb and distributor because I knew they were already setup and ready to go. The last part of the rebuild was getting the exhaust hooked up.

Next day after getting the exhaust done, it was time to upgrade the carb and distributor. A new wire set was purchased too, as a couple of the old wire-ends melted during the breakin.

New Holley 650 Double Pumper, right out of the box. Not gonna mess around with old stuff. Holley carbs come flow-tested new and pretty much setup for basic applications.

Off with the old, and on with the new !!

While test fitting the carb, I noticed the back vacuum port on the intake for the transmission was hitting the acelerator pump. A 1 in. space should fix that!

No clearance issues anymore, however now my carb studs are too short. T

Using some old and longer bolts, I decided to make my own studs for the carb.

After securing the carb onto the intake, it's time to connect up the ports. Vacuum advance for the distributor is hooked up.

Linkage and fuel rail are installed and voila!

Lastly, power to the electric choke and we're ready to go ....
