Radiator is installed, hoses are connected.

Interesting use for a turn-buckle. I had some issues with the factory alternator brackets, and Glenn A. told me of using a turn-buckle.

Need to install the shroud before the fan. Get my belts and pulleys ready to install too!

Figured I should quickly run a chase on my waterpump/fan bolts before installing them into my Edelbrock Waterpump.

Fan, pulleys and belts all installed. Fan belts lined up nice ... well, nice enough :)

Getting the carb back on the intake and hooked up!

Hooking up vacuum lines, linkages.

Installed a copper spliter in the Oil Gallery port. I want to run both a gauge and dummy light!

Cover up the carb to keep crap out.

Time to pour some fluids back into the car!

While fashioning some bolts for the starter, I noticed some antifreeze on the flexplate.

Called up my friend Glenn in Selkirk, wanted to borrow his engine primer. As he has just moved, he cannot find his primer. Having some time on my hands, I took a tire iron and with my bench grinder ... made one which would work with my drill! It worked very well ... now the engine is primed :)

Give the battery a quick charge.

Monday morning, it's time for the Cam break-in. It's gonna be loud too, as the exhaust was just cut, and slid into the headers. Engine is primed, distributor and wires installed.

Looks like everything is ready ... let's do it!!

Car won't start, the starter is clicking away. Pulled the starter out, and on the bench apply 12v to it. The solenoid is pretty spinning. NO PROBLEM, got lifetime warranty on the starter!, so Dan and I take off to Piston Ring.

Dad & Uncle Bob

A new starter and new battery later (turns out my battery was toast too) and click-click-click. Take a moment to shim up the starter.

Continue to piss around with the starter ..... :( which is REALLY starting to piss me off!!

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the process while doing the cam-breakin ... not sure where my mom went, but I was stuck in the car with no access to my camera.

The Cam breakin process went off without flaw! ... The Omega roars to life, with basically open-headers. It's loud, I'm loving it, Dad & Uncle Bob along with a friend Don who stopped by are loving it.

Dan was pleased with the Cam break-in. We shut things down early to give the car a complete cool-down.

Next on the list, will be having the exhaust hooked up to the headers. A phone call is made to Glenn Scott at DUALS, appointment is made.
