Add the air cleaner back on for the time being and give her another quick checkover looking for leaks or anything. Tomorrow she goes in for exhaust.

A more or less successful engine swap. It was fun, but at the same time, what a nightmare !!! I'm glad the hard parts are over, but there are still several issues to address. I'm tired, I want to go home.

Would like to thank a moment to thank Glenn Scott for making some time to fit my Omega in on short notice. Glenn outfitted the Omega with 2"1/2 dual exhaust with FloPro V-Force mufflers. Basically the same exhaust system as my nova. I had asked Glenn to run the tailpipes behind the back wheels just the same way he had done on my nova. When I went to pick it up, it just had cutoffs. I'm not a fan of cutoffs.

Not a problem, I apologized to Glenn for the miscommunication and he fixed me up the next business day and redid the tailpipes. AWESOME JOB Glenn !!!, very happy with the work.

Since the engine swap, we changed the QJet to a newer non-computer controlled one. Still seems to be a mystery miss that we can't find. The next step will be to swap distributors and maybe get a new set of wires too.

Took the car for a test drive and she is definitly 110% better then before. I was able to cruise on the highway at 60-70 mph with no problems.

Far from done ... now that she's running and as I have more free time, I will start to clean & dress up the engine compartment alittle.

I would like to thank Shelly so very much for lending me her garage for almost a 2 week period, as well for her help on the car. Clint, Brandan, Dan, Jay, Amanda & Jess for their help and time spent hanging out/helping in one fashion or another.

A big thank you to Kelly H. who made room in his garage to house Shelly's Chevelle SS while I was using Shelly's for the swapping project.

Let's go burn some rubber !!! ...
