Now for the fun part ... WIRING!. Here a pic of the engine comparment side of the harness. We need to replace the resistance wire with a regular wire, as the HEI distributor requires 12 volts. We used shrink-tube and then electrical tape over the connection.

Next on the list, is to get the Power Steering connected up. First I tried to see if I could just switch the pulleys over to use on the old pump. STRIKE ONE!. The shafts of the pumps are different. Being the cheap person that I am, I tried a few things to try and see if I could get it to work somehow.

RIGHT ON!, time to play with power tools ... Out comes the grinder, as we alter the old brackets to try and find the old pump onto the motor.

We also line up the tranny crossmember and set the motor to TDC. Got the old pump bolted up onto the motor with our custom brackets.

Got the wiring all fixed up and converted for HEI. Everything is looking good. OOPS!, spoke too soon ... I'm bleeding again!!

Swapped over the tires from the Parisienne, as the ones are the Parisienne are almost new. Also a pic of the tires Shelly lent me to use when we discovered the 245's were too wide, the exhaust was burning the inside of them. Two more tires left to throw on the front of the car.

Hooked up the shifter linkage, next is the ignition, installing the distributor.

Pulled out the distributor and tried again, as I was one tooth off on the timing. Then I ran the wires nicely from the cap and left the other end open until I can put new plugs in.

Went to the junkyard to get a set of pulleys and another steering pump, and some belts and brackets for power steering. I spent roughly 2 days screwing with the power steering pump. Ended up going back for a second pump as I shouldn't of pulled the pulley off the first one I got, cause you have to then have the pulley pressed back on. Was cheaper to go back to the junkyard and grab another pump.

Power Steering pump #2, used the proper bracket and what do you know ... it's all lining up. All pulleys, alternative, PS pump. FINALLY !!
