July Long Weekend, and it's overcast ... and it's suppose to clear up and be sunny and HOT! :)

Unpack the car, get the Drag Radials out. Dad gets a jump on switching the tires. Shelly has come up to cheer us on, but left her Chevelle at home. Filled out the 'Tech' card, do a quick check under the hood and off to 'Tech' to get inspected.

Going to get in line for inspection. After inspection, I return to the pit area. Dad, Shelly and I in discussion, mostly about the changes in the powertrain and why we did what - Car stuff :). Dad sits and waits for the opening of the track so he can run the car.

Dad wastes no time getting in the car, putting the helmet on and over to the Staging Lanes.

As long as Dad doesn't run faster then 13.55 (My BEST ET) ... we shouldn't have any problems :)

Shelly and I are watching Dad makes some runs. Dad quickly picks up his timeslip and right back in line.

C'mon old man, 13.55 is my best time !! hahahaha

HEY!!, has anybody seen my car ?? I let my Dad make a pass in it and haven't seen it since!!

Finally ... it's my turn to beat on the car !!

Another pass ...

Not quite getting the times I wanted (13.5's) ... the car has been running consistant 13.6's and 13.7's. It's pretty hot and muggy outside today and the car is running around 200F.

Garry (Shellys husband) came out to the track for a drive, and see whats happening ... Given the hot weather, Dad and I decide to pack things up a little early ... don't think the car is gonna run any better in this heat.

All in all, it's another fun day out at Test & Tune. The 355 engine built by Dan Klim is something !! ... and holding up VERY WELL !! Also thanks to Nevin for building a TH350 for me too! I'm thankful for all the help I've received from so many people!! THANK YOU !!
